Cre8ive Graphics, a reputable sign and graphics company based in Bishop Auckland, has delivered exceptional service to clients in the North East since it was established in 2004. Cre8ive Graphics was asked to assist in the manufacturing and installation of two large, illuminated tray signs with built-up letters for the Ingenium Centre in Darlington. The client’s objective was to create visually captivating signage that would effectively represent the Ingenium Centre’s brand and leave a lasting impression on visitors. Recognising the need for a reliable manufacturer, Cre8ive Graphics turned to our Makers at Smith to help deliver this project.
Two signs were required by the Ingenium Centre for the rebranding of the building. The first sign was the larger of the two, with the tray sign measuring 10300 x 1150mm with 50mm returns. This was powder coated in Traffic White RAL 9016 Matt to finish. The halo-illuminated built-up letters to be mounted on the tray sign consisted of both text and the brand’s logo. The text was finished in the powder coater with Traffic Black RAL 9017 Satin, whereas the logo consisted of three different colours in total: Black Blue RAL 5004 Satin, Pastel Blue RAL 5024 Satin, and Water Blue RAL 5021 Satin. The second sign was slightly smaller, with the tray sign measuring 8300 x 1850mm with 50mm returns. The tray and lettering were also finished in the same colours.

During the installation process, the Cre8ive Graphics team faced the challenge of working at height.
